Bai/Beginner Fabrics
In Japan, a traditional way of ranking things or establishing heirarchy is through labeling `Sho Chiku Bai`.
Bai (which means plum) are 3rd in the heirarchy. It doesn't mean they are not beautiful. They are still of premium quality, for sure! However, they are usually the kimonos with more common designs.
